Ministry to the Poor

Saint Lawrence Martyr Parish is committed to assisting the poor within its parish boundaries and locally.

Each week, Parishioners make donations for the poor and disadvantaged by using the poor boxes in the rear of the church. We have a committee which screens requests for help to ensure that the requestors are in genuine need and the extent of the aid they require.

Requests for aid are normally funneled to the Parish Office and the requests are immediately referred to the screening committee.
