St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church is a very active and rapidly-growing parish in the Archdiocese of Baltimore with a rich history spanning more than 150 years. Our parish is very well known for its welcoming atmosphere, its faithful and sacramental worship of God, and its abundantly generous service not just to one another, but to all of our brothers and sisters in need who live in our parish’s surrounding communities.
Located in northwestern Anne Arundel County, Maryland, our diverse and culturally rich parish is easily accessible from the Baltimore-Washington Parkway off the Odenton/Fort Meade exits at Route 175 (Annapolis Road) in Hanover. Our parishioners come from many area communities throughout Anne Arundel, Howard, and Baltimore counties.
Saint Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church is blessed to be served by the Trinitarians, an ancient religious order founded by Saint John DeMatha. Our parish’s charism is greatly influenced by the Trinitarian mission of ransoming Christian captives and serving our neighbors by performing works of mercy.
Saint Lawrence offers dozens of dynamic ministries in which parishioners of all ages and abilities can be involved and/or benefit: from our incredibly energetic youth and young adult ministries, to young family get-together groups, to our 55-and-over groups. Are you a crafter, a writer, or a chef? You could also serve traditionally as a lector, an usher, or a greeter. How about volunteering your talents in the parish office, or sharing your gardening expertise on parish grounds? There IS a place for YOU here in our family of faith and love in Christ.
Come, and let Our Lord love you through the faith and actions of our parish community.
