In October 2014, St. Lawrence Parish established a Gabriel Network program, providing practical, emotional, and spiritual support to pregnant women in crisis situations. The GN provides a structured support system and process designed to provide care throughout the pregnancy, delivery and after delivery. GN also helps to provide life skills with which the mother can support herself and her child.
The Gabriel church volunteers who assist the mothers are called “Angel Friends”. The “Angel Friends” provide loving, personal and long-term support during the pregnancy and beyond.
GN services are free, absolutely confidential, and are available to pregnant women regardless of race, religion, creed, or economic status. If there are services needed which GN is unable to provide, GN refers women to partners in the community offering services ranging from prenatal care to government assistance.
If you'd like to help out with the program, please contact Mary Jo Hogan.
All donations will be used with the Gabriel Network at St. Lawrence.
