Rev. John Mountain was the pastor of St. Lawrence Church from 1945 until 1951. During his time here, the parish added the sacristy to the back of the church.
Born in Philadelphia, he was educated at Atonement College in Greymore, NY, the Redemptorist Seminary in Northeast, PA, St. John’s Seminary in Little Rock, AR, and the Sulpician Seminary in Washington DC. He was ordained in 1928.

He passed away on October 27, 1979 at the age of 81.
